No More Reviews as of January 2022

Yes. You heard that correctly.

As of the New Year, I will no longer be blogging book reviews as part of this site.

Yes, you can still subscribe to the newsletter for news about books published by The Book Badger, LLC. You can also still access the materials in the FREEBIES section. Old blogs will not be deleted. But the way this blog is used will change.

Review Requests will no longer be considered.

This blog will no longer be a way of me making money or reviewing other authors.

I’m no longer blogging for money. Affiliate links will remain up, but I will not be posting new ones.

Future posts on this blog will be about upcoming book releases, offers on books, give aways, and free content to enrich learning. But I will not be regularly blogging here anymore, or taking requests for reviews.

Why is this happening?

The short answer is that I no longer enjoy it. It stresses me out more than it helps me. And I really don’t have time for things that stress me out.

To many this may seem like a big mistake, but to me it’s a way of continuing to love what I read, enjoy what I write, and take pride in my work. There will still be posts on this blog. But they won’t be posts I use to make money. They will be posts about my books, me, maybe the occasional reading oriented freebie.

I just don’t want to be a book reviewer. I want to write and publish books. I want to draw and learn and enjoy books.

Blogging just isn’t fun anymore.

Blogging for me became a chore. It became something I was trying way too hard at and achieving limited results. I was spending so much time trying to “get views” and “plan content”, I forgot what I was doing it for.

The hard truth is, I’m not a blogger. I don’t love it. I am a writer, but not a blogger. So I’m going to stick to what I’m good at.

So this is me, the author Amanda Silva, getting ready for a new year and a new adventure. Hopefully some of you will stick around for it. But if not, no hard feelings.
