Well, the “us” is more of a “she”…

Amanda Silva is the creator and founder of the Book Badger, LLC, an independent publisher of children’s books. She is also a great big nerd who likes to spend her free time writing and drawing stuff and loves a good (okay, they’re all bad) pun. She’s lucky enough to have a little boy to share these stories with.

In 2019, it dawned on her that other children may also need these stories.

She began querying a few of her children’s poems and ideas to agents and small publishers, but found the road to traditional publication straining and restricting. It was then that she decided the traditional route just wasn’t for her and began the journey to self publish her books instead.

Then she created “THEBOOKBADGER.COM”

Amanda Silva created The Book Badger, LLC in 2020 with the intent of blogging about children’s books and publishing some of her own. She is now the proud author and publisher of three children’s books. Her books are available on Amazon, through most online retailers, and through some local booksellers in her home town of Denver, CO.

As an independent children’s author, Amanda Silva publishes her children’s books through the imprint of The Book Badger, LLC with the help of Kindle Direct Publishing and the great people at Ingram Spark. She is an Amazon affiliate and an avid supporter of independent publishing companies and authors. She is always happy to work with other authors to make blog shout outs, partner for events, and talk shop. Amanda relishes the opportunity to explore new concepts with new friends in her fan and author communities.
