My name is Amanda, I am a book lover, and I officially — as of today– write a children’s book blog. This Blog. The Book Badger Blog.

I also write a lot of other things, including short stories for adults and picture books for kids. My first picture book should be coming out some time this year.

I love kids books. I have a little boy and he loves books too. But we don’t just READ books. We LIVE books. Every story is a springboard for adventure and a chance to learn something new.

I want to share those new fun things with you all too!

I like to come up with fun things to do that relate to books we read. From recipes to crafts to games, we have a ton of fun in our house and read while we do it.

I also am a big supporter of small publishing houses and self published authors. I will regularly feature authors that you may not have heard of.

My main goal with this blog is to share my love of children’s books with the world. I will post regularly with book reviews, lists of recommendations, activities to enhance reading, and my general thoughts and musings about children’s literature.
